Nong Khiaw & Northern Laos

by Emily Benjamin

Nong Khiaw. Very few people will have heard of it, and a lot less will have been there. To find this gem, we ventured from the Thailand/Laos border crossing at Huay Xai north east to Luang Namtha, then south east the next day to our destination. One hundred and forty kilometres north of Luang Prabang, nestled between huge mountains and limestone cliffs, this tiny village offered the perfect dose of relaxation needed after 5 days of travel. And some fantastic indian food, too!IMG 8512IMG 8626IMG 8481Lady BlogIMG 8478Kids Blog

Em, These pictures are stunning. You and Jamie should submit your blogs to somewhere like Trailfinders or one of the Travel sections of some good quality broadsheets in Australia and UK. I’m sure they’re good enough for publication. It may do your resume some good too, when you look for jobs. Lots of love.
